K. A. Langford is the pen name of Australian author and artist Karen Lenger. Born in New South Wales, the eldest of two children, she read her first fantasy novel in high school and never looked back. She grew up immersed in fantasy, science fiction, and romance, genres that continue to shape the dark fantasy worlds she writes today.

Her short fiction has appeared on the Reedsy Prompts platform, and she is currently working on her debut fantasy series, Where the Blade Falls, which blends medieval grit with elements of romance and the supernatural.

In addition to writing, Karen is a visual artist who sketches and paints, creating portraits and fantasy-themed works that echo the same imagery and atmosphere found in her stories.

When she isn’t shaping new worlds on the page or canvas, she treasures time with her close-knit family. A mother and nan, she lives on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
